Aperçu du projet

Background:

In 2019, SNCF, through its subsidiary Transilien, launched a call for tenders for the outsourcing and rental of a fleet of nearly 6,000 smartphones. This ambitious project aims to equip its field workers with adapted and well-protected devices, thus ensuring better management of equipment and an extended lifespan.

Challenge:

Transilien was looking for a partner capable of supplying, managing and maintaining a fleet of smartphones while meeting the specific requirements of their business. In addition, the customer wanted to benefit from flexibility, in particular with a non-return tolerance of 20% of the devices at the end of the contract.

Exécution du projet

Leasétic, in partnership with an outsourcing company, wins the tender and sets up a three-year rental contract for these smartphones. The devices are equipped with a shell and screen protector, thus ensuring that 2/3 of the equipment returned after the first cycle was in perfect condition (grade A). This equipment was able to be resold at a good price, maximizing profitability for Leasétic and offering an economic solution for SNCF.

Résultats

The first batch of 5,800 smartphones was a success, both for SNCF and Leasétic. Building on this success, the two companies are renewing the operation for a second batch of 6,200 smartphones, this time equipped for 5G and with dual SIM, in view of the Olympic Games in 2024. The deployment was rapid, and Leasétic plans to recover around 5,000 devices in 2025, with a new opportunity to be revalued and sold in excellent condition.

This six-year collaboration has allowed Transilien to maintain a high quality mobile fleet, while offering its agents efficient and up-to-date tools. Leasétic has not only met the customer's expectations, but has also been able to adapt to specific needs, in particular with the flexibility of non-return of 20%. This partnership illustrates how Leasétic can combine performance, sustainability and profitability in its equipment rental and management offers.
