The Rouen University Hospital Center (CHU) was looking for a solution to better manage its computer park and control the environmental footprint of its equipment. Due to significant budgetary constraints, it was difficult for him to finance a carbon footprint inventory and monitoring tool. It is in this context that our team was asked to find a solution to overcome these challenges.
The Rouen University Hospital needed a solution to optimize the management of its computer equipment while engaging in an eco-responsible approach. However, budgetary constraints limited their ability to invest in solutions like Colibris for monitoring and managing the environmental footprint. In addition, the accumulated obsolete equipment represented a logistical obstacle and a cost for the CHU.
To respond to this problem, Leasétic proposed a recovery plan for obsolete equipment in order to partially finance the Colibris license. Our team took care of the complete retrologistics, in partnership with local actors such as Les Ateliers du Bocage, to manage the collection, transport and treatment of the equipment. Despite efforts, the remarketing of the material did not generate enough funds to cover all the costs of the Colibris license.
However, Leasétic supported the Rouen University Hospital in a consulting service, by helping to optimize the management of the existing IT infrastructure, by defining effective processes between the CHU's IT department and external service providers, and by introducing best practices for more sustainable management.
Thanks to this support, the Rouen University Hospital was able to benefit from optimized management of its computer equipment with increased visibility on its environmental impact via Colibris. The implementation of this solution allowed the CHU to improve its processes for entering and leaving equipment, to optimize assignments and to reduce its carbon footprint. In addition, the return on investment was achieved in less than a year, allowing the CHU to save money while contributing to sustainability goals.
The Rouen University Hospital testified to this collaboration during the GreenTech Forum, highlighting the gains made and the positive impact on their organization. This collaboration also allowed Leasétic to be referenced within the public procurement center, Résa, thanks to the sponsorship of the Rouen University Hospital, thus facilitating Colibris's access to other public institutions.
