Aperçu du projet

Background:

The Occitanie Regional Council is committed to meeting the obligations of the AGEC law, which requires that public bodies have at least 20% refurbished equipment in the computer equipment of public bodies by 1 January 2025. In this context, the region has been looking for solutions to manage its IT infrastructure responsibly and reduce its carbon footprint.

Challenge:

At the beginning of our collaboration, the Occitanie Regional Council had less than 4% of refurbished equipment in its fleet. The objective was not only to reach 20% of refurbished hardware by 2025, but also to have a clear visibility on the environmental footprint of the entire computer park in the region.

Exécution du projet

Leasétic proposed its Colibris solution to support the Occitanie Region in the management of its computer equipment. Colibris made it possible to inventory all the equipment in an intelligent way, by integrating internal and external data for a precise vision of the carbon footprint and the raw material used for each material. With our solution, the region can track the percentage of equipment repaired, the costs associated with repairs, and the economic and environmental gain compared to the purchase of new equipment.

At the same time, we have also worked in partnership with SPIE to provide refurbished equipment, thus contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the AGEC law. In addition, the Colibris License module was introduced to help the Regional Council better inventory and manage its 36,000 software licenses.

Résultats

In less than three years, the Occitan Regional Council has gone from 4% to more than 10% of refurbished equipment in its fleet, thus approaching the 20% objective. Thanks to Colibris, the region now has an overview of the carbon footprint of its IT infrastructure and can measure the impact of its sustainability efforts.

The Occitanie Regional Council shared its experience of collaboration with Leasétic during round tables, in the presence of the cities of Toulouse and Montpellier. Nadia, project manager, highlighted the benefits of the Colibris application and testified to the expertise and support we provided. The satisfaction of the region with our collaboration suggests new projects, in particular for the inventory and optimization of their software licenses.

The partnership between Leasétic and the Occitanie Regional Council perfectly illustrates the positive impact of responsible and optimized IT management for public institutions. Thanks to Colibris, the region benefits from a comprehensive solution to achieve its sustainability and compliance goals, while improving its management of equipment and software licenses.
