Leasétic and NumériSud

Leasétic & the NumériSud Association sign a partnership to reduce the digital divide among children in primary schools, middle schools, and high schools!

To mark the signing of our partnership, François Bonny, president of the NumériSud Association, visited us in Balma.

A meeting driven by a shared goal and common values! Leasétic made an initial donation of 18 PCs, which will be used by middle and high school students in the Nice academy.

The NumériSud Association

NumériSud is a project led by François Bonny, a Physics teacher and digital coordinator at Jean l’Herminier middle school in La Seyne-Sur-Mer.

NumériSud was born from an observation made during the lockdown period: a lack of digital access for some families of middle and high school students.

The association's goal is to reduce the digital divide by recycling used equipment from businesses, as well as all computers from middle and high schools in the Nice academy.

Once collected, the machines are refurbished and rebuilt with Linux in workshops led by volunteer teachers and students. The long-term goal: to create about fifty workshops to recycle 4,000 renewed computers each year.

NumériSud, an association with a dual purpose! Not only reducing the digital divide but also fostering skill acquisition in IT and sustainable development for all students involved in the project!
